Employees of Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC, a mining enterprise of the KARAKAN INVEST Group, once again held their traditional autumn community clean-up in the settlement of Novy Karakan.
The first group of participants in the environmental initiative collected litter along the road leading from the Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC administration building to the intersection near the village of Novodubrovka.
The second group cleaned up the areas around the company’s administration building, the former village health centre, Karakan Land Park, as well as the central street of Novy Karakan.
In total, the company’s employees collected 40 bags of waste, each with a capacity of 160 litres. Most of the waste consisted of food packaging and used containers.
KARAKAN INVEST Group employees hold environmental clean-up initiatives twice a year: in spring, to remove waste accumulated over the winter, and in autumn, before the first snowfall.
