HOLIDAY CHEER BROUGHT TO LIFE ACROSS KARAKAN INVEST GROUP COMPANIES

The KARAKAN INVEST Group has summed up the results of its annual competition for the best New Year workplace decoration. Staying true to tradition, employee teams once again demonstrated remarkable creativity and imagination: decorating offices, repair and utility areas, and even an excavator – and were rewarded with prizes for their efforts.
When judging the decorated workplaces, the jury considered how well the New Year theme was conveyed, the use of corporate branding and symbols of the coming year, originality and creativity of ideas, and the complexity of the techniques used. Harmony of color schemes and overall artistic expression of the décor were also important criteria. Additional points could be earned for an especially creative “project presentation,” such as reciting poems or humorous verses, singing a song, wearing costumes, and other performances. All entries were assessed by a specially appointed jury.
In total, 17 applications were submitted by teams across KARAKAN INVEST enterprises. Most of them are regular participants in the competition, yet this year they once again impressed the jury with a noticeably higher level of artistic quality and technical execution. For the first time, entries were submitted by employees from the repair area of the Yevtinsky-Perspektivny open-pit mining site, the boiler house of the haulage and transport unit, and the ESh 6/45 dragline crew.
For many employees, taking part in the competition became almost a family affair, with children helping in the preparation. The jury faced a difficult decision, and after lively discussions and debates, the winners were determined as follows:
1st place – HSE Department, Shakhta Belovskaya JSC
2nd place – Chief Process Engineer’s Office, Shakhta Belovskaya JSC
2nd place – Surveying Team, BELKOMMERCE LLC
3rd place – Human Resources Department, Shakhta Belovskaya JSC
3rd place – Repair Area of the Haulage and Transport Unit, Shakhta Belovskaya JSC
All competitors received letters of appreciation and New Year gifts from the company, while the prize winners were also awarded cash bonuses.
