KARAKAN INVEST Group continues to provide charitable assistance to residents of the Kemerovo Region by supplying coal produced by its mining operations to vulnerable and socially disadvantaged groups. This support is particularly important as the region prepares for the upcoming heating season, which in 2026 will begin earlier than usual – on September 15.
Under a social and economic cooperation agreement with the Government of the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, the Group will provide 1,000 tonnes of coal free of charge to residents in need by the end of the year. To date, 698 tonnes of fuel have already been shipped.
An additional 1,000 tonnes of charitable coal will be supplied under an agreement between Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC and the Administration of the Belovsky Municipal District. The assistance is intended for low-income households, families raising foster children and children under guardianship, elderly people living alone, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, people facing difficult life circumstances, families of participants in the special military operation, as well as organizations of social importance to the district. To date, 475 tonnes of the allocated volume have been shipped.
The Group’s management also responds to individual requests for assistance. Residents of the Evtinskaya rural area approached the Director of Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC with a request for coal for household heating needs. The request was submitted to the Group’s Board of Directors for consideration, and charitable assistance was approved. Deliveries of the fuel to individual households have now begun.
In total, 292 tonnes of coal will be delivered to 73 recipients, with 4 tonnes allocated to each household, in the villages of Evtino, Konovalovo and Sidorenkovo and the settlement of Novodubrovka. The beneficiaries include labour veterans, home-front workers, low-income residents, veterans’ movement activists and Children of War – people whose childhood coincided with the Great Patriotic War.
