An exhibition of art and handicrafts created by the Karakan Invest Group women employees was organized in anticipation of Mother's Day to showcase the talents of the women working for the holding company. Many of them are engaged in handicrafts together with their children and grandchildren.
The exhibition opened a couple of days before the holiday at the administration of Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC. The exhibition features handmade items created by female employees of KARAKAN INVEST Group using a wide variety of techniques: knitted clothing and accessories, national costumes sewn and decorated from scratch, fabric and plaster toys, shaped soap, shaped desserts, painted and embroidered pictures, beadwork, photographs, and much more. One of the ladies displayed her collection of stamps from around the world.
At the exhibition opening, some of the craftswomen spoke about their hobbies and how they joined them. For some, creativity is a way to unwind and get some rest from work, for others it is a way to express their ideas and their creative energy, while others took up handicrafts during their maternity leave. For many, it is now an exciting leisure activity to enjoy with their kids.
For example, Maria Glinskaya, a leading drilling and blasting engineer at Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC, is delighted and all the more inspired to be creative when she can surprise her kids with the results of her work. Ramilya Adigamova, a cleaner of production and office premises at the mine, creates costumes for her granddaughter's dance performances, while Svetlana Isakova, head of the Coal Chemistry Laboratory at BELCOMMERCE LLC, often crafts together with her grandchildren.
All exhibitors received commemorative prizes and letters of appreciation from Oleg Zlobin, technical director of Shakhta Belovskaya CJSC. The duo of a father and son, Vyacheslav and Yaroslav Belyaev (Inskoy Cultural Center, Belovo), performed musical salutes to the women.
All female employees of the KARKAN INVEST Group of Companies who have children received cash payments to mark the holiday. This support measure is a part of the holding's social program.
