KARAKAN INVEST GROUP CELEBRATES ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY

The KARAKAN INVEST Group of Companies celebrated Miner's Day and the Holding's 15th anniversary of Founding. Employees across the Group’s enterprises received awards at various levels for their outstanding professional achievements.

The celebrations lasted throughout the entire Miners’ Day Celebration Week. On August 26, company management presented certificates and awards to employees who achieved top results in the annual performance contest, the “Best in Profession” contest, and the High-Performance Labor Month initiative. Individual employees were also recognized with honorary diplomas and letters of commendation for their personal contributions to the company’s growth.

On Friday, before Miner's Day, the Group’s delegation took part in the traditional Miners’ Parade in Kemerovo. As part of the regional contest “Kuzbass — The Coal Heart of Russia,” KARAKAN INVEST was named the Best Coal Mining Company in the “Open Pit – 2025” category. The winner’s cup was presented by Governor Ilya Seredyuk to Konstantin Grinvald, Director of Shakhta Belovskaya JSC, during the ceremony held at the Moscow Square. During the official Miner's Day celebration, several employees received state and regional honors.

Sergey Fomichev, Head of Open-Pit Mining Operations at Shakhta Belovskaya JSC, was awarded the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland,” II Class. Alexander Anishchenko, Shakhta Belovskaya Open-pit Mining Operations Area No. 2 Excavator Operator, received the Medal of the Government of Kuzbass “For Faith and Kindness.” Vladimir Glekov, Head of the Motor Transport Division at BELKOMMERTS LLC, received the Medal “For Service to Kuzbass.”

The corporate anniversary celebration took place on August 30 at the Central House of Culture in Belovo. The event’s guest of honor, Andrey Brizhak, Minister of Coal Industry of Kuzbass, congratulated employees and presented awards on behalf of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Administration of Kemerovo Region.

In recognition of their hard work and extensive expertise, and in celebration of Miner's Day, the following individuals received the Miner's Glory III degree award in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation: Konstantin Grinvald, Director of Shakhta Belovskaya JSC, and Evgeny Tyurin, Dump Truck Driver at the Open-Pit ROM Coal Haulage Area.

The Russian Ministry of Energy Letters of Appreciation were presented to Sergey Goncharov, Shakhta Belovskaya JSC Dozer Operator at the Motor Transport and Dozer Area, Olesya Platonova, Chief Process Engineer, and Valeria Potokina, Senior Foreman, Technical Control Department of BELKOMMERTS LLC. Honorary Diplomas were also awarded to key specialists of the Group, including: Technical Director Oleg Zlobin, Deputy Director for Mining Equipment Maintenance and Repair Sergey Kargapoltsev, Chief Geologist Yuri Rudnykh, Deputy Chief Mechanic Andrey Volkov, Driver of a truck involved in ROM coal haulage in the mining transport area production process Sergey Subotin, and Excavator Operator Igor Chernovsky.

Andrei Brizhak also presented awards from the Kemerovo Region government administration: silver “Miner's Valor” badges to Alexander Shergin, chief of operations at Shakhta Belovskaya JSC, and Evgeny Konovodov, excavator operator in the open-pit mining area; certificates of honor from the governor of the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass – to Andrey Shlyakhov, equipment repair mechanic and unit operator at Shakhta Belovskaya JSC Auto Repair Workshop, and Vladimir Shorokhov, Electric and Gas Welder at BELKOMMERTS Repair and Engineering Area.

Vladimir Astafiev, Head of the Belovo Municipal District, presented certificates of honor and letters of appreciation from the district to 17 employees of Shakhta Belovskaya JSC and BELKOMMERTS. Ten employees of the enterprises received similar awards from the city of Belovo presented by Andrei Kolesnik, Deputy Head of the Belovo City District for Industry, Consumer Market Development, and Services.

Honorary badges and certificates of honor from the Russian Independent Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers were presented to 20 employees of the Group's enterprises by Nikolai Tomshin, Chairman of the Belovo Regional Branch of Rosugleprof.

The Holding's management awarded employees for their outstanding performance. Denis Arkhipov, CEO of KARAKAN INVEST LLC, presented diplomas to the winners of the “Best in Profession” professional skills contest.
The winning teams of the month-long high-performance labor competition received awards from Konstantin Grinvald, Director of Shakhta Belovskaya JSC, and Valery Egorov, Director of BELKOMMERTS. Vadim Popov, Karakan Invest Group Board Chairman, presented diplomas and trophies to the winners of the performance contest.

Bonuses accompanied all awards.

One of the Group’s long-term partners, BELAZ-24, official representative of the BELAZ plant in Kuzbass, congratulated the company on its 15th anniversary. The memorable address was given to Vadim Popov by Sergey Peshkov, Director of Maintenance of B-24 LLC. The company also recognized the high level of expertise demonstrated in the operation of the trucks and presented commemorative gifts and letters of appreciation to Shakhta Belovskaya BelAZ 75131 Crew No. 4844, which exceeded its production plan the most during the mining year.

In a festive atmosphere, special prizes were awarded to the participants of the children's creative competition dedicated to Miner's Day whose drawings and crafts were deemed the most vivid and interesting.

This year's concert programme included a special feature: the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra performed not only the music for the opening and closing segments, but also accompanied all the award presentations and vocal performances with live fanfare. The MAGMA Show Ballet from Novokuznetsk complemented the program with stunning dance performances.
